There are fansites, guides and galleries galore out there dedicated to Cowboy Bebop, and everyone did such a terrific job with those that I really don't think there's much more to be done. But for those of us who also enjoy pondering about the philosophical sides of Cowboy Bebop or analysing the finer points of the show, this site is for you people.
Of course, there are just so many ways to interpret this wonderful series, and I don't think there's a single correct interpretation of it. Different people, depending on their own experiences, will walk away with very different ideas and that's what makes the show so cool. It is one story that tells many stories at once. The ambiguity allows for plenty of speculation and the stuff I write here, unless otherwise stated, are just my own opinions.
Still, if you have a bone you must pick with me, direct them to spiral_blast at yahoo dot com and we'll take it from there. :-)
At any one point while surfing this site, clicking on this icon will take you directly back to the homepage. That said, hope you enjoy the random ideas I throw up here!

The I-don't-know-where-else-to-stuff-it Section of Random Observations and Thoughts on Cowboy Bebop
+ Mushroom Samba pays tribute to the late '60s band Led Zeppelin at least twice. According to The Jazz Messengers, the frog in Spike's hallucination mentions the "Stairway to Heaven", a reference to Led Zeppelin's song of the same name. The name of the outdoor cafe the "Shaft" character sits down at is shown in the background: "Moby Dik" (sic). "Moby Dick" happens to be an instrumental recording by Led Zeppelin too. [Editor's Note: that brain freeze he got in that scene was hilarious! Just so realistic!]
+ There is a reference to another folk lore in Speak Like a Child besides the Tamatebako one. The ship that delivers the tape first to the Bebop has a tortoise logo on it and the one that later delivers the VCR has a hare logo. Looks like the tortoise won again. ;-)
+ "My left eye sees the past," we hear Spike telling Julia in one of the flashbacks. But is that his real eye or the fake one? Is it the real eye which, like the rest of him, refuses to let go of the past? Or is it the cybernetic eye which, as a memento from the days gone by, serves as a constant reminder of the past wounds?
